Most air freight containers are made of materials such as aluminum or polycarbonate and are equipped with a profile frame. They are designed to fit the contours of an aircraft cargo hold and meet the standards of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Each container is assigned a unique IATA code, such as AKE, AKN, PAG and PMC, for easy identification.
AKE LD3 container is the most popular model in market now, it have gotten TSO Airworthiness Certificate from FAA, the size of LD3 container is 2007*1534*1626mm, it have 4.3CBM volume capacity with 1588KG loading capacity.

What is a ULD Container?

ULD Container, short for Unit Load Device(ULD), is a container used to load cargo in air transport. ULD can be a container or a combination of pallets and nets. Their main function is to secure cargo to prevent damage to the cargo itself or the inner wall of the aircraft due to movement during flight.

ULD comes in two different forms:
Aircarft Pallets – These are large flat base of aluminium with rims designed to lock onto cargo net lugs.
AircarftContainers – Also known as cans or pods, are closed units that can either be fully made out of aluminium or made out of a combination of aluminium, polycarbonate sheets and cargo nets. These are designed so that they fit perfectly in the circular cargo hold of the plane.

LD1 Container

Length: 92 inches (2.34m) Width: 60.4 inches (1.53m) Height: 64 inches (1.62m) Compatibility for: Boeing 747, 777, or similar models, Suitable for smaller packages to odd-shaped items that can fit within its dimensions.

Aviation LD2 Container

IATA Code: DPE Dimensions: 61.5″ L x 60.4″ W x 64″ H Weight Capacity: 2,700 lbs (1,225 kg) Volume: 120 cubic feet (3.4 CBM) Compatibility: B767, 787 lower hold Features: Lower deck container, half-width with an angled side.

LD3 Container

Maximum Gross Weight: 3,500 lbs (1,558 kg) Volume Capacity: 115 cubic feet (3.26 CBM) Compatibility: Airbus A330, Boeing 777, Lockheed L1011 Temperature Control Range: –20°C to +20°C AKE contoured container is open on one side and closes with a flap. It is suited for a wide-body lower deck. Features: Ideal for transporting temperature-sensitive goods like pharmaceuticals and perishables.

Aviation LD7 Container

Length: 160 inches (4.1m) Width: 60.4 inches (1.53m) Height: 64 inches (1.62m) The ALF ULD, a full-width lower hold container, features angled ends. Its door is made of canvas and includes built-in door straps for added security and convenience.

LD8 Container

Dimensions: 3715(L)*1534(W)*1626(H)MM Maximum Gross Weight: 10,198 lbs (4,626 kg) Volume Capacity: 339 cubic feet (9.6 CBM) Compatibility: Boeing 747, 767, McDonnell Douglas MD-11 Features: Insulated container with a solid door, designed for larger temperature-sensitive shipments.

Length: 160 inches (4.1m) Width: 60.4 inches (1.53m) Height: 64 inches (1.62m) Compatibility for: B767, 747, 777, A300, A310, MD-11 Model The AKE ULD Container, a full-width lower hold container, features angled ends. Its door is made of canvas and includes built-in door straps for added security and convenience.
